VIDEO: How to Make Your Own Kombucha

Kombucha is a traditional probiotic beverage made from fermenting black tea and sugar. Don’t worry, though, almost all the sugar and caffeine are used up by the bacteria πŸ™‚ Drinking kombucha is a great way to get good probiotics into your diet. It’s a little bubbly too, so it can help when transitioning off soda. Kombucha is also a great detoxifying agent and supports liver health.

If you are just starting out with kombucha – you might want to start slow. Just drink 1-2 ounces for a few days and build up from there. This will avoid a detox reaction, and allow your body time to adjust. If you have widespread Candida (yeast) overgrowth, it may be prudent for you to use kombucha very sparingly for a while. (And it’s best to consult with your nutritional therapist on strategies to address Candida appropriately)

The video will go over everything you need to get started. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments section!
